On 23rd Sep 2014, a delegation of Indian Ex-Services League led by Lt Gen Balbir Singh, PVSM, VSM, comprising of the following veterans, called on the Chief of Air Staff and Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee

(d)Col K S Yadav, SM
Chief of the Air Staff was apprised of the various ongoing welfare activities for Ex-Servicemen, their dependents and families, undertaken by IESL.
The following issues were placed for the kind consideration of The Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee. He was requested to progress the following issues:-
(a)One Rank One Pension for Military Veterans.
(b)Improvement in ECHS
l Disp[arity between per head allocation of funds to CGHS and ECHS. Allocation should be same for both .
l Shortage of medicines in ECHS polyclinics
l Issue of three months medicines to senior citizens and widows if recommended by medical officer
(c)Pension for the WW II Veterans/Widows
